Gingerbread for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 available now

If there’s anyone out there still using a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, there’s no doubt you’ve been waiting a long time for this. Now available for download and installation, Gingerbread for the Xperia X10 has been finally released.

Among the normal Gingerbread-flavored enhancements throughout Android 2.3.3, you’ll find a whole slew of new Sony Ericsson specific features that’ll have your device feeling young again:

  • Facebook inside Xperia – A series of unique Facebook integrations with multimedia apps, phonebook and calendar
  • The ability to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot

    Samsung Galaxy S II with slide-out physical keyboard coming to AT&T (Updated: Verizon’s version coming too)

    It’s been almost 3 months since the Samsung Galaxy S II was released in South Korea. Though this has been one of the most anticipated devices of the year and has been popping up all over the world, the US remains an exception. In the midst of rage and fury from North American techies, there shines a little spark of hope:  leaked images of the Galaxy S II variant for AT&T.

    We know it’s hard to believe the phone is just around the corner. But Samsung did mention the Galaxy S II would be here next…

    AT&T promises Android 2.3 Gingerbread for entire 2011 Android device lineup

    AT&T customers have been begging for some Gingerbread love for some time now. This comes as no surprise, since no AT&T device had Gingerbread until the HTC Status was released on July 17th. But do not despair! Those still living in a Froyo nightmare will soon have visions of Gingerbread dance in their heads. AT&T has just announced that their entire 2011 Android device lineup will be updated soon.
