Sprint’s HTC One X rumored to launch in early June

htc_one_x_back

Sprint’s CDMA variant of the HTC One X may arrive as soon as June 10, roughly two years after the launch of the HTC EVO 4G.  Just like most carrier models, Sprint’s variant of the device is going through an identity crisis by changing its code name from Jewel to Jet.

Since HTC is [...]

Sprint waves adieu to HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Epic 4G, others

It seems only yesterday we were running to our local Sprint stores to get America’s first 4G phone. In many ways, the HTC EVO 4G belonged to a new breed of Android phones that appealed to the average consumer–not just us geeks. It was blazing fast. It was relatively easy to use. It had a big screen. It even had a kickstand for god’s sake. It was only after the release of phones like the EVO 4G and the Droid that people would actually come up to me and ask about those Android phones or “Droids.”

But all good things…

HTC unveils the HTC EVO 4G+

For a while, many were speculating the HTC Rider would be another 4G enabled device to grace Sprint’s network.  But that doesn’t seem to be the case.  It turns out the HTC Rider is in fact the HTC EVO 4G+ and is headed to South Korea.  The story broke last night when a video of the handset hit YouTube, later followed by an official product page on HTC’s website.

The HTC EVO 4G+ is nearly identical to the HTC EVO 3D (scheduled to launch on Sprint’s network tomorrow).  The key differences between the two phones are that the EVO 4G+…

HTC EVO 4G to get another update in 5 days, Netflix coming back

HTC EVO 4G owners were very happy about the recent Gingerbread update. The device was running smoother than ever and things seemed to be perfect… until EVO users tried to watch their favorite movies on Netflix. It wasn’t nice to find the app was no longer able to stream movies or that the HTC EVO 4G was taken off Netflix’s supported devices list.

But it looks like things are about to get better, because Android Police’s ninjas have just brought us a reason to be happy again. This leaked document states that the HTC EVO 4G will…

Video: 7 reasons to trade in your EVO 4G for an EVO 3D

The official price and release date for Sprint’s HTC EVO 3D were finally announced a couple days ago, and it’s just crying to be picked up. Announced at CTIA 2011, this device has been one of the most anticipated of the year. And it only has a few worthy competitors. (Mostly the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S II).

Soon after the EVO 3D’s price and availability were made official, multiple companies started announcing pre-order offers. Target seems to stand out amongst the crowd, since they’re offering a $150 credit if you’re willing to trade-in your…

HTC EVO 4G gains Gingerbread, loses Netflix

After waiting for months, HTC EVO 4G users finally got a taste of Gingerbread this weekend. Though you may be enjoying the benefits of the update to Android 2.3, there seems to be a pretty big downside as well. As many of you have probably realized, Netflix has stopped working on updated EVOs. Netflix has stripped the EVO 4G from the list of supported devices and confirmed this is due to the recent Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.

This is not good news to hear, especially for one of the very few Snapdragon devices that is compatible…

At last! The beloved HTC EVO 4G is finally getting an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread! HTC EVO 4G takes a bite out of Gingerbread; leaked Android 2.3.3 build hits the web

While some of you may still be debating HTC decision to not port HTC Sense 3.0 to their older phones, a leaked Android 2.3.3 test build for the HTC EVO 4G has surfaced on the web.   The leaked build initially showed up on 911sniper but has quickly gained a home on XDA-Developers.  Even though it’s only been a few hours since the leak was discovered, developers have already managed to work some magic and transform it into a bootable and fully functional ROM.

Though we’ve known since this morning that the EVO wouldn’t be getting any of the Sense…
